Tom McAleer's Field Studies (view gallery) are daily paintings created "plein air" in various locations throughout Rhode Island.

Tom's prolific works include landscapes, place-scapes and images of the sea.

Based on two islands; Jamestown, RI and Block Island, Tom braves the weather in all seasons to "refocus on the daily rhythm of life and how it relates to the rhythm of nature."

Tom is an administrator of the Top Drawer Art Center in East Providence Rhode Island, a leader in Outsider Arts.Tom's paintings can regularly be seen at the Island Gallery on Block Island, and the Yes Gallery & Studio in Warren. His works are available at periodic art sales.
